WELCOME
In this outstanding location you can step from the house straight onto the mountainside, hear the stream rushing past, take in views of Moel Hebog, Yr Aran, Yr Wyddfa and its ridges, Y Glyderau and the slopes of Moel Siabod, and when it isn’t clear there are hillsides shrouded in mist, mossy banks and timeless stone walls, all right on your doorstep.
The footpath behind the Centre leads up Cnicht, with its numerous small lakes and interesting crags. It’s also an ideal area to get lost in! So these rugged slopes and features are perfect for navigation training.
The boggy slopes of Cwm Gelli Iago support a rich ecology, with special plants adapted to survive the sometimes harsh conditions and the whole area is of significant archaeological and scientific interest.
