FACILITIES
The Centre provides self-catering accommodation for up to 22 people. While staying there you will be completely independent as a group as there is no resident warden. Inductions can be provided to familiarise new groups with the facilities.
Downstairs
There is a fully equipped catering kitchen to suit the needs of both large and small groups.
The efficient drying room has fan heaters and an extractor unit. It also has two large sinks for washing up.
The dining room will seat a full house of 22, has a solid fuel stove (coal is provided) and the original slate flagstone floor, a reminder of Gelli Iago’s earlier farming days.
The Office is available on request, has a coded key for access, and can be used for staff accommodation if needed.
There is a downstairs toilet off the rear lobby, next to the kitchen.
Upstairs
The bedrooms are heated in the winter months, and are named after the mountains they face – Cnicht (8), Siabod (4), Snowdon (6) and Hebog (4).
The bathroom, also heated, has two separate shower units, two washbasins and a separate toilet. All facilities are unisex, at the discretion of leaders.
Outside
The classroom can be used for teaching, packing expedition gear, games or recreation.
Accessibility
Most of our facilities are currently unsuitable for wheelchair users, although we do have a downstairs toilet.
