ABOUT US
We have three types of members – Affiliated Groups, Individuals and Supporters.
Affiliated Group Membership
This is open to organised groups who would like to stay at the Centre. Our existing groups include schools, colleges, Scouts, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Groups and other similar organisations. We also welcome climbing and walking clubs, photographic groups, training organisations, field courses and any similar groups who want to enjoy and respect our much loved Centre.
Affiliated group leaders can bring their group to stay at the Centre, and are entitled to attend and vote at our AGM and open meetings.
Individual Membership
This is open to anyone aged 18 or over, who would like to stay at the Centre with other like minded adults, family members and friends. Nine social weekends a year, ‘Member Meets’, along with a large chunk of August are available for Individual members to stay at the Centre. We also welcome supervised children on these meets so that all generations get the opportunity to enjoy the Centre.
Individual members can book to stay at the Centre on Club Meets and can bring two guests, subject to space available and are entitled to attend and vote at our AGM and open meetings.
Supporter membership
This is open to anyone aged 16 or over, who supports the aims of the Association but who doesn’t require the right to book the Centre or attend Club Meets.
Supporters are entitled to attend both AGM and open meetings but cannot vote.
All classes of membership
As NMC is an Associate Member of the British Mountaineering Council our members and supporters can enjoy discounted rates at many outdoor retailers, along with other BMC benefits.
We are also a member of the Snowdonia Society and receive their six monthly newsletters which give an insight into local conservation matters.
